The City of Bunker Hill Village holds its election on the first Saturday in May of each year. The election for Councilmember Positions 1, 2, and 3 are held in even-numbered years, and the election for Mayor and Councilmember Positions 4 and 5 are held in odd-numbered years. The Mayor and Council are elected for two-year terms.
The next General Election for the City of Bunker Hill Village will be May 3, 2025. Councilmember Positions 4, 5, and the Mayor are on the May 3, 2025, ballot. Filing for a place on the ballot begins January 15, 2025, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on February 14, 2025.

Candidate Qualifications
The qualifications for the Office of Mayor and City Councilmembers are:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Have been a resident of Texas for at least 12 months, as of the deadline for filing for the office
- Be registered to vote in the territory from which the office is elected
- Be 18 years of age or older upon the commencement of the term to be filled at the election
- Not have been convicted of a felony for which he or she has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities
- Not have been deemed mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court
- Candidates for Councilmembers must have resided in the City for at least 6 months prior to the filing deadline
- Candidates for Mayor must have resided within the municipal limits for at least the 12 months preceding the election day
